NEW YORK CITY BREAKERS BRIEF BIO The NEW YORK CITY BREAKERS was put together. As a group consist of the best dancers from the all. Of NYC's best breakers at the time from. Seven Deadly Sins Floor Master. Rock Steady and Dynamic Rockers. Certain dancers was in more than one Crew but the key. Focus that Micheal Holman had was to put together . A group to represent NEW YORK CITY Finest dancers. Which was very successful and made a major impact. On the dancing all across the world with prestigious shows. That gained attention from movie directors and the media. We were under allot of exposure with the dance being. Critiqued and praised for the first years and the crowd. And public was amazed at the dance seen for the first. Time we have appeared in the Merv Griffin Show. Were every entertainer got there spot light and set. There destiny for more to come we have came out in. The first MTV in 1983 when MTV was first years and. Got an award then did a cameo for the movie. Sixteen Candles but was cut out due to the mainstream. Not really accepting it and directors ans producers. Personal views on how the look will be for that movie. We kept on pushing to get our exposure. And be mainstream by doing more projects. 1/2 Hour Comedy Hour with Dick Clark productions. Ripley's Believe it or Not and countless other TV shows. And live show appearances were ever we were needed. Grand Master Flash and the Furious Five. Fab Five Freddy in the Village. So many Rappers wanted us to perform with them. It's was like nothing cause Breakin /Rockin/Lockin/goin off Was on the Front lines not rapping but MC's and DJ's was really getting notice due to our presence as. The main attraction combined with MC music and DJ's And the back round was always a graffiti artist art 4 elements together but somewhere it went south. Tour with Madonna in Paris when she first started. With her hit Borderline and was a big fan of ours. And performed for the Kennedy Center Honors. In front of the president Ronald Reagan and he loved. Us and was invited again to his Inaugural Gala in 1985. But the movie that really shook up the world was. Beat Street were we played the leading Breaking Crew. For Lee that became a battle scene that was legendary. And set the foundation for battles today and what it. Portrayed as a Breakin. Our goal was to battle the Olympic winners in 1984. In a floor exercise and they took notice to the dance. And invited us to perform for a show. Salute to the Olympics with Ben Verene in Carnage Hall. Were we met people on a scale that was respectable. Mohammed Ali Tom Bosely and Ben Verene and did. A routine with him and practice countless celebrities. From a class that was very sophisticated and talented. Then it never happened the Olympics did not want really. To accept us at the time for Breakin to become a sport. But I say what is it? (Dance/sport that what it is you have to be in shape to. Do the moves we were doing at the time I believe that.) But we had a fan club and numerous endorsements. From every where we have also performed for the Prince. Of England Prince Andrew in London was very proud. My personal achievement is when I met Gene Kelly. My mentor on the dance he did Burt Lancaster. Carol Bernette and many others from and era were I was. A child and accepted us with open arms with this new. Craze but somewhere along the line our dance was. Being critiqued by doctors and the media was calling it. A dangerous dance to do and came down hard on us. With the passing away of Glide master and media with Political agendas we kind of just been labeled a. Fad that was going to come an go not true we had a brief. Moment of stopping when our contracts were over. In 1985 our Lawyer David Singer and Micheal Holman. Just left us after we had a record deal with K-Tel. That went gold they filed for bankruptcy and our. Fan clubs and endorsements the group really. Never seen and royalties our contracts had something. To do with that he had a raw deal so we kept on. Luckily the royalties from Beat Street was still good. Until Orion pictures went bankrupt to it was like a. Set us up for failure or just the let the well run out of. Water!!! So we regrouped and Mr wave took control of the group. And started to pick up some good shows with some, Up coming Rappers on the Fresh Fest tour and was great. We toured with some of the famous rapper to this day. LL Cool J Salt and Pepper Biz Mark MC Shane. And went bad when they robbed the manager. In Atlanta Georgia and LL Cool J held me back cause it. Looked like something funny was being done you know what I mean did more shows with LL Cool J when he signed with Def Jam and then he was unapproachable. Wow how the rappers change no disrespect. But there was a monopoly on Hip Hop and we was. Tossed to side by major labels that did not want us. And had more revenue and more finances and was. Like promoting rock/hip hop and was the deal. The Rock~N~Roll Hall of Fame and us being apart of that? Whats up with that and no I did not listen to rock music never did with James brown around please and soul please. Soon after that did a few more show in Europe. But then Mr Wave got shot on the block over stupidness. And he left to another state the windy state. Chicago but I kept up my skills always paid my union dues. And got a trade some skills behind my belt. Joined the Army and came back ready to battle But after doing solo shows with other groups in the. Early 90's So What Happens Now I left to pursue. My goal and that was to bring back the best group ever. NYC Breakers started out with a bunch of us with a group. Called Powerful Impact then lead to the. New York City Breakers With me financing everything. And had a vision to have new members to take the . Position and bring a fresh new look so me I and. Kid Freeze with the help of Fast Break started to put. Together the group from scratch and Cory Icy Ice. To recruited new members Troll and Street Masters. From Miami London and other's like Speedy D Mind you. That Speedy was on a call to call list in the Early 80's. With the NYC Breakers but never made the group as. A legal contract But was there and apart but. We had allot of motivation but theres was something. Still that was there the obsession of being a NYC Breakers which everyone wanted to be at . One time or a other but the standards are very high. But our goal has focused to the young generation. And helping them build there confidence and spirit. So after a while picked up speed to the level. We had in the 80's due to politics we were limited. I joined the army again and went on to. Become a Drill Sergeant Army Reserve and still. Performed and represented NYC breakers but just. I and did judges events and battles and demonstrations. When I got wind of the Internet and what was being. Posted and the Documentary's that was done I was. Using Speedy and London as NYC Breakers to get people. Was bad look they gave us . They could do there propaganda stunt to us was the straw that broke the calmes back. Very disappointed at the fact the way they portrayed us. As the Fall guy's for the whole Dance scene. It's not true and was always attending events and supporting the young generation to succeed I draw my. Energy and from the new generations thats wants to know the true culture and art form of Dancing. So I Judged events for the love of it. But I'm back to settle the story straight yes I am The way we contribute back to the community which. Is by inspiring young kids to achieve there goals. It's good to this day NYC Breakers are called to judge events and still doing good as unit still to this day. Will be at the level that the people will like to see again. The NYC breakers all in one place again originals only. I believe our work is not finished and we will be apart. Always as the first group that set the example of what. A real sports dancers should be and really see the future. Of this dance becoming a sport/dance. In the Olympics..........or farther. Remember Flip Roc, Lil Alex ,LiL Lep, Powerful Pexster. Kid Nice,Action and Icy Ice, Mr Wave is still here to stay. The real NYC Breakers No doubt!!! My word's I speak come from the heart and never. Sugar coat my out look or speeches I tell it like it is. By: Floor Master Powerful Pexster NYC Breakers.............. Peace or battle. 2 JUN 2009

Flip Roc was recruited the same years a former member Of RSC he was perfect with his flips and original skills and made a package that was really. Great to see dance and catapulted us into another level. Of The Break
MR.wave was recruited after . Kennedy Center Honors he was unique in his style of just waving in a crazy motion. Was a good gimmick for the crew there's. Hasn't been a style like that since the . Wave was strictly NYC style
Right after the Movie Beat Street. Icy Ice was recruited to be the newest . Member in the NYC breakers due to the. Fact that we grew up with him he was a must Now we the untouchables
After the passing away of Glide Master. We recruited the next Generation to. Start to carry the torch to the next level. And LiL Alex was a asset to the crew performed for the president of the USA. At the age of 14 years old
In 1994 we started to icth again to get. The group going again with members that we worthy to be apart of the NYC breakers. From the beginning so we recruited. Fast Break former member of RSC and. Vice pres of Floor Master and Kid Freeze. And London was put in the crew and was the beginning of the end for the Group due to London greed and own interest. Loose Bruce was in for the show. Old school boogie Boy
First five in the group was a proccess of elimination Micheal Holman took the best. And started the first NYC breakers. Members was LiL Lep,Action Glide Masters,Powerful Pexster Kid Nice

Lil Alex a/k/a Alex Roman. Is one of the youngest gifted . Dances I've ever saw and set. The group on a level unreachable on today scale. And his moves are still done to this day nothing really changed that much since he. Created UFO and style just the faces have change he is. And alway will be the greatest. Second Generation . NYC Breakers of all times. Written by: Tony Lopez
1995 is when we did this old school Throw down. And all together in one place Icy Ice Fast Break and Kid Freeze left right after the show due to dictators. Trying to run the group and I left right after Chino was left. With what London wanted the group to run himself. And failed with Speedy But time is good and the story . Must be told But I believe only the true group members are the group and always will be with the exception of. Fast Break Kid Freeze and Speedy
But there was other members that we don't mention that Was apart in the beginning Snap Floor Master. Kid Romic Floor Master. They were the ones that Really told me about the NYC Breakers and was in the group before just to recruit me to throw them out. Micheal Holman is damed . For breaking us up our friendship and loyalty
When Flip Roc was inducted into the group he was accepted by me no doubt but. Others members would mock. Him for his color and joke but. I never did cause they would mock me for being to white. He would take it like a grain of salt. And was the best addition to the group the almighty Master of flips to this day they still do his signature flip in Rockin
We he was 11 years old the youngest dancer I grew with him at knew his cousin and he was. Being managed by Julie our. Former manger of the Floor Masters after we left Julie. He stood with her and Fast Break. To and when his contract was over he join us so we could be together like the old days. But came in the group at the end of the run 1 year only. But did alot for us cool little kid.
Mr .Wave when he first was in the group he was kid of what I . Say what I wasn't looking for in . A popper or electric boogie but. He was a waver not the others . Totally different and In . Time he would show his. Stage presence and professional. Techniques and skills the only. One and only to this day. Mr Wave
